A Fresh Start in Escondido

We’re excited to share a powerful update: thanks to the generosity of 365 Connect, Home Depot, and their incredible volunteers, our transitional home in Escondido has been completely renovated and reimagined to serve a new purpose, as a dedicated women veterans’ center.

This beautifully updated house will soon open its doors to women who’ve served our country and are now seeking stability, healing, and a place to call home. The renovation included everything from fresh paint and updated flooring to new furniture, décor, and outdoor improvements and transforming the space into a warm, welcoming, and empowering environment where women veterans and their children can begin rebuilding their lives.

At Wounded Warrior Homes, we recognize that women veterans often face unique challenges when transitioning to civilian life - especially when navigating housing instability or seeking support as single mothers. By tailoring this home specifically for their needs, we’re creating more than just a shelter, we’re building a community rooted in dignity, safety, and opportunity.
